A new management game is currently taking shape with Chaos Cinema, where players build, operate, and gradually expand their own movie theater.
The project is still in an early stage of development. The current focus is on creating the core gameplay systems and connecting them into a functional gameplay loop. These systems include ticket sales, customer service, snack and drink preparation, and the management of screening rooms.
Unlike traditional management games, many tasks in Chaos Cinema are not handled through menus alone. Players operate the cash register themselves, prepare popcorn and drinks, take customer orders, and make sure visitors reach their seats before the movie begins.
The planned gameplay combines management with direct, hands-on interaction. While new customers arrive, players need to sell tickets, prepare orders, keep the theater clean, and monitor supplies, income, and customer satisfaction.
Current and planned systems include:
A physical cash register and ordering system
Customers with different orders
Popcorn, drink, and snack preparation
Numbered seats and screening-room assignments
Limited ticket availability for each showing
Cleaning and restocking systems
Ratings based on service quality and cleanliness
Future theater expansions and additional screening rooms
Chaos Cinema uses a simple and stylized visual style. The customers are designed as reduced characters with large heads, floating hands, and clearly readable reactions.
This visual direction is intended to keep the game easy to understand, even when many customers are present at the same time. It also creates plenty of room for funny situations, small mistakes, and the controlled chaos of running a busy movie theater.
The next stage of development will focus on improving the stability of the existing systems and connecting them into a complete gameplay loop.
One of the current priorities is making sure customers reliably place their orders, collect their snacks, and then move to the correct screening room and assigned seat.
After that, development will continue with additional equipment, theater upgrades, new fictional movies, and deeper management systems.
Chaos Cinema is still at the beginning of its development. Screenshots, videos, and more information will be shared once the individual systems are ready to be shown.
Until then, Deep Shift remains one of the main projects featured on this website. More news about Chaos Cinema will follow in the future.
Deep Shift is currently in active development.
The game is still in an early stage, and many systems, features, environments, and gameplay mechanics are actively being expanded and refined. The current focus is on building the core gameplay experience, atmosphere, station systems, repair mechanics, and immersive underwater exploration.
Development updates, new features, screenshots, and progress previews will be shared over time as the station continues to take shape.
Thank you for following the project and supporting Deep Shift during development.
